As a not-for-profit organization, the Sibley County Food Shelf relies on the donations of local businesses and community members in order to provide food to families and individuals in need throughout the region; however, the organization does not accept canned or preserved food donations. Instead, Sibley County Food Shelf uses monetary donations to purchase meals directly through Second Harvest Heartland, a regional food bank that sells food and related products at a fraction of the cost.
